Brett Parker is the man behind Dolphin Dream who began making jewellery when he was 18 years old. His inspiration has come from a lifetime of sailing, magical whale and dolphin interactions, and a deep love of the sea.

Brett has spent thousands of hours interacting with dolphins and whales, often alone, and realised over 30 years ago, just how vulnerable these animals are to what we do on the land. This was a huge motivation for "going Green" (well before environmentalism became corporatised and fashionable.) He then stopped the use of all dangerous chemicals in his workshop and began to grow all his own fruit and veges organically.

Most of his career has been spent as the “Jeweller to the Jewellers” and owning two small shops in Auckland. He did all the work for numerous Jewellery retailers which included designing and creating bespoke pieces, making beautiful engagement rings, and restoring all manner of broken and damaged jewellery. Brett is now often found crafting fine jewellery in his home based workshop north of Auckland or in his small workshop on his boat creating new designs. Being on the ocean is the ultimate place of inspiration for him.

Falling deeply in love with the local dolphins, Brett found them to be breathtakingly beautiful on so many levels. It is this beauty and energy that he incorporates into his jewellery designs.
